ITIL can be immensely valuable. But sometimes that value is clouded by complexity, or loses sight of the bigger picture by focusing too much on the detail.The ITIL Manifesto is what ITIL stands for; its most important aims. It is a series of statements (see The Agile Manifesto) declaring principles and objectives. Why have a manifesto? Because remembering 5 books can be a challenge, but there are some key principles on which ITIL, and in fact any ITSM best practice is based.
